Hey people

My SSD has a firmware update that will fix a lot of issues.

I need to Clone mu current Files onto a spare 128GB Torqx SSD (the same)

This will allow me to update the original SSD with new firmware.

Norton Ghost does not work for me at all, tryed it before and it just screwed up my install entirely! I WONT USE GHOST

Are there any programs out there that will clone the drive entirely so that i can take the original out and leave spare in and it will work just as before?

if there is please post them and also a guide to doing this!

Any help will be appreciated!

Ok But, How do i go about useing that system image later?

I want to do the following:

image my OS drive onto a new SSD drive and have it boot up like the old one did.

DO i need to do:

Make Windows startup recovery disk (in same menu as the image)

make System image onto an external HDD for example.

Put new ssd in the pc

Load the recovery cd

And load the image from my HHD into new ssd?

if thats basicaly what i need to do then i will do it :D

You can create a boot disc (windows Start UP Recovery) that will let you restore the image created by windows, done it myself on my SSD, very fast and works a treat :)

I'm still using Vista and i'm looking at upgrading my HDD.

Do I use the built in backup (have vista ultimate) or Acronis?

Or simply boot from the Windows7 DVD and restore using that.
