I have Acronis True Image and i want to clone my Win 7 OS into a new SSD. It look straightforward to clone but I want to keep my old hdd in the system and wipe it. But thats means i will have a dual boot until i wipe my old hdd? Or will the pc get confused about which system to boot into?

Just designate the SSD as the first boot drive in the BIOS - the location of the setting varies from one mobo to another, but should be easy enough to find. Then you can format and/or repartition the old HDD from within Windows in the usual way.
