Cloning hard drive

I am worried that my hard drive might be losing some reliability, so I want to clone it and then use the clone.

Are there any good free software packages that let me do this cloning?

I'd recommend Norton Ghost which is on something like Hirens Boot CD, It also includes a lot of other useful technical and troubleshooting tools.

acronis make good stuff so i'm sure it would be ok. i'd definitely try one of the free alternatives though. when cloning a drive, your original data should be untouched so you've got nothing to lose.

If your running Windows 7 then the backup & restore centre can create a system image for you.

Yes it's very good I use quite often and have never had any problems
