Cloning HDD gone wrong

I was trying to clone my old hard drive to another hard drive and when I booted up (Windows 7) it said something like inaccessible boot device and that I had to use the Windows disc to repair it. Sorry for being a little vague. I did write down the Stop error but I think I wrote it wrong (I googled for it, didn;t make sense as I wrote the error code in a hurry). Think it was 0x000000e :D

I used trueimage to clone it (been a while since I've used it). The method I used was Backup then Recover. I was going to use Clone Disk but couldn't as I would have had to erase all partitions on the disk.

Any suggestions is welcome :)

one possible issue if its an old mobo could be the machine does not support the larger drive size...

I only saw this once on a old athalon xp 2800... trying to image the drive to a 500gb

I would hazard a guess that you did not backup and restore the 100mb boot partition that Win7 uses.

If you DID backup and restore it then you may need to boot from the install cd and go to repair.
Pull up the command prompt and run the following to fix the boot loader.

BOOTREC /REBUILDBCD

Hope that helped :D
