cloning windows setup for one drive to a new one

Hi
iv just got a new hdd to replace my old IDE drive. just want to no if thes a way to clone my windows set up. Form my old drive to my new one or will i need to format it?????

Most drive makers have utilities to do just that on their support websites.

?? i want to do basicly do a whole clone of the c drive and put it on the new drive will it work and how do i do it

Find your drive and grab western digitals data lifeguard tools, it will walk you through the drive to drive cloning process.

Acronis True image, they did do a 30 day trial.
Basicaly install your new harddrive and format using Acronis, click clone hard drive and follow the on screen display, system will reboot and copy / clone your current drive, shut down and remove old hard drive, reboot check boot options in BIOS and enjoy.

DOS version should, or use acronis as already stated by others.

You are replacing the IDE with an IDE arent you . . coz if the new one is SATA it probably will not work . . .
