I have some AKG 702 which are great for gaming and music but as they are open I hear all other noise too. Sometimes not great in games where silence is needed.

What are the recommeded closed headphones in similar price range to the AKG 702? (or maybe a bit more)

'beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO Studio Headphones - 250 Ohm' for £108 sounds reasonable

Also hi all (first post)

Welcome aboard.
DT770 is very competent for gaming for closed headphone of its price.
(though bass needs toning it down in equalizer for competitive gaming)

250 ohm version has coiled cable and works if you have headphone connection close.
Straight 3m long cable needs some managing to avoid it from falling to floor, but reaches connector farther away.
80 ohm version comes with straight cable.

Do the closed cups cause warm ears? I dont have this problem with the akg’s but theyre open.
Also, do you know how to connect a mic to the 770s?

Of course closed cup increases risk of ears warming up.
Though Beyer's breathing velour pads lower that risk compared to usual leather/pleather pads of closed headphones.

As for mic ModMic works with about any headphone.
Beyer's design is also friendly for DIY modding if you can find detachable mic:

I have a vmoda boom pro mic. Could this be attached to the DT770s using the 3.5mm jack?

It appears the connection does not detach from the left ear piece, meaning a different mic would be required if buying these (or connect mic to the end cable, resulting in a wire mess)
