Hello Guys,

I got few spare quid and I was thinking of buying one of the closed loop radiator coolers ( Corsair H110i).
Would there by any difference in temperature compare to my BeQuiet Dark Rock 3, or it is waste of money?(i.e. side grade)

Short answer is no.

Longer answer is CLCs are bullt with components that are designed to last 2-3 years. I know, warranty is 5, but reality is most start loosing coolant flow rate after a couple of years and temps begin to get warmer. Also CLCs are much louder then good air coolers at same temps .. and be quiet! coolers live up to their name .. are quiet. ;)
Yeah that's what i thought performance will decrease over time,I had custom loop and the temps were great but the maintenance required is problematic. ;/

If built with maintenance in mind (with fill and drain fittings in loop) draining, flushing and refilling with coolant and inhibitor is not too painful .. but I moved back to air after many years of H2O when big powerful coolers like iFX-14 came out .. that was over 10 years ago. ;)

I had port fillers and drain port so that was not problematic, I had 2 or 3 leaks that covered the carpet in red fluid which my missus almost killed me. If you have 2 radiators and all fittings the whole setup weights a ton.
