Closed My JSA Claim

Because I got a job! Finally, after over a year of unemployment, I've found a decent job ten minutes walk from my house. Early starts and long days, but it's really exciting. You wouldn't think being a Cleaner would actually have so much involved. Plus I get to ride around on the ride-on scrubber, which is much fun.

Decent wage, and plenty of opportunity for overtime hours.

So yeah...for those out of work for a long time...don't give up. This is my first "real" job and it's grand.

Also, butts.

congrats!
been on JSA for just over 6months and the "courses" they send you on are SOUL destroying!
been trying to get jobs since i started, havent found anything yet but aint going to stop
had 2 interviews but after research found out they were scam companies

Congrats! Anything is better than being in the Jobseekers system, as said, soul destroying is really the only word for it...for those who actually want to work I mean.

And yeah, it really is soul destroying. And yeah, it is SUCH a relief to be off the JSA. It's nice at first, although not really enough to support yourself financially, but it eventually becomes an anchor. But like I said, you just gotta keep pushing on.

How to do a CV? How to job search? How to use a computer? How to dress for an interview? How to tie your shoe laces?

Aye, a little bit of me died on that course, especially when you look at the clip of some of the people on it, you just think, how on earth did i end up here? :mad:
