Hi,

I'm after a backup company that has actually allows scheduling of backups over a period of time. In New Zealand, we have data caps but my ISP allows unlimited upload/download from 1am to 7am every day. With 10mbps upload I'd like to schedule the backups to run from my SAN during this time only so I don't use any of my data limit.

So far, crashplan and backblaze are two that I have looked at but they do not have a timer scheduling system, just manual or continuous from what I can tell.

Anyone know of any backup plans that can fullfill my requirements?

Did you explore the settings?

At what time does CrashPlan back up?
By default, CrashPlan for Home without a subscription backs up once daily, 24 hours after the previous backup completed. You can schedule backup to run less frequently if you like.

But if you wish, you can schedule Backblaze to backup at a convenient time or only when you click "Backup Now".

I use to only have the Crashplan service enabled at certain times, so it was only ever backing up overnight and not during gaming sessions.

It is just a Windows service so you can start/stop it by command prompt or task scheduler if you want fine control over it but bare in mind it's a slow backup solution, although I do love it!
