Can anyone recommend an app to use for backing up (mainly photos and videos) to cloud storage?

I'm using Azure Storage as a 'cold' store for archiving and I'll probably use Backblaze B2 or Wasabi for 'hot' storage.

  • Arq doesn't support Azure Storage.
  • Duplicati seems pretty good, but seems to be quite slow and the UI isn't amazing. Regularly while testing it'll have the status of '2 files (0 bytes) to go' or something like that so it can be annoying to know what's going on.
  • Duplicacy seems pretty good too. Appears to be a fair bit quicker than Duplicati, but the only annoyance I've found is when testing a restore you have to search for a particular revision and know the file / folder is in that revision. Duplicati on the other hand shows you everything that's available on the latest 0: restore point.

Just over 3TB at the moment, but that is going to grow rapidly now the baby is here.

ugh and another annoyance with Duplicacy has just appeared.

Failed to list backup ids in the storage Azure: storage: service returned error: StatusCode=409, ErrorCode=BlobArchived, ErrorMessage=This operation is not permitted on an archived blob.

So I have a Lifecycle rule setup to change the tier of a blob that hasn't been modified in the last day from cool to archive. It seems Duplicacy can't read those, didn't have a problem with Duplicati though.
