I've noticed most websites I visit like youtube have HTTPS instead of HTTP
Just had a website fail to load with a cloudflare error.

WTF is cloudflare? is it virginmedias new DNS server? can I disable that **** ?
I don't need a god damn cache no wonder some forums are never showing new post alerts for me like they should

Nothing to do with VM, whoever owns that site chose to use cloudflare to cache/prevent DDOS attacks on their site.

Basically they set their nameservers to Cloudflare then set up A records to point their site out from Cloudflare to the correct server IP, Cloudflare reports back a cloudflare IP address when it's visited/pinged etc.

That error means that either the server that the site is actually hosted on is down/not working correctly or they've cocked up their DNS at cloudflare.
