Cloudy coolant

Well I wouldn't flush for a week like that guy on reddit.

I would cut your losses with that coolant in there and chuck it. If you only flushed your rads and not your blocks or pump/res then maybe they had some crud in there or maybe the coolant was just bad.

Flush your entire loop (though not for 2 days or a week). I bought some spare long lengths of tubing, put the PC in the kitchen, water from the tap into a bowl, long tube from bowl to intake of pump and then long tube from last part of my loop before the pump into the sink. From my pictures I think I ran it like this for an hour.

After doing this I temporarily ran the loop with deionised water whilst I waited for coolant and more tubing to arrive. That was 3.5 years ago and I will get round to it soon.

I bought 10L of deionized water and flushed the loop a few times and it looks clear (either the micro fins did a great job of filtering out the gunk or I actually managed to get it out). It looked oily so it was probably o-ring lube (it wasn't on any of the fittings / res / pump as far as I can tell) or machining oil left in the CPU block. Is running just deionized water fine or do I absolutely need the additives? I plan on redoing parts of the loop in a month or so when I can get a GPU block for the 5090 so was gonna clean the CPU block and re-fill with coolant then, but I'm a bit worried about running it for 2 months without corrosion/growth inhibitors.

Given I am running deoinized for 42 months, I think I'd say you'll be fine for 2 months.
