Cloverfield, just watched it..

It made me feel more "Meh" than I ever have in my life. Definitely not bad, but definitely not good. I don't even know whether I think it was mediocre.

It's strange that I can be so certain that I don't know what I thought of it, but I am. Talked to many people who feel the same. During/after watching it I was basically thinking "Oh... ok" :\

fantastic film just for the sheer epicness of how it was at the cinema.

yup

watching a non high def, or non surround sound (on volume 11) version would spoil it

the street scenes with the army in were out of this world in the cinema

I heard you dont even see godzilla in it except a quick flash at the start between the buildings but thats it. If the monster was in it for most of the film then id probably have watched it but from what i heard thats not the case.

you probably get about 30-40 seconds of it in total, but there's chaos going on for ages (that it has caused)

Anyone know when the BlueRay's out?

I'm resisting the temptation of buying the standard def DVD.

I still can't believe people liked it. Nearly everyone I know how has seen it thinks it's terrible. It doesn't help that the characters are so annoying that I wish them all a slow death.

indeed - even the special effects couldn't save this turkey.

absolute rubbish.

To go against the majority i thought it was a fantastic film, very entertaining and gripping. This coming from someone who usually finds generic action films a bit tiresome

There were multiple monsters, why do you think the one looking over the main cast was a lot smaller than the one in the city ;)

Great movie I thought. Best one this year IMO - I've seen. Crank up your 5.1 system too the subway scene has a lot of nice deep noises which sound great. I liked the handycam bussiness too, I know it's been done in other movies but so what?

Yeah the monster is in it quite a bit but I heard they cut the "monster in the shower" scene after complaints from the monsters family. Is that true?

No they had to edit out that scene as they found the monster was underaged.

BTW seen it twice and would watch it again.

I absolutely loved it. So much so that I've ordered the DVD. I don't think a DVD will have quite the same effect though, and I could really do with a subwoofer.:p
