Clutch issues?

started on the way out this evening the clutch pedal felt almost notchy and not smooth to bring up. When pressed (part of fully) there is an audible one which was louder the higher the speed. Anyone got any ideas what this could be? I'll have a quick google now but I figured if I don't find anything I may come back to one of your inputs.

Car is a mk6 fiesta st if it makes any difference.

Edit: my best guess is maybe warped?

clutch judder, maybe as a result of heat and glazing on the plate - had this on a 2nd hand car, but did not recur under my usage after replacing it.
Was not sure if it had been a manufacturing problem or previous owner

It's not so much judder it's more at one point it just briefly sticks then continues but it doesn't stick at the lowest point or anything.

Got someone at work that does mechanic work on the side and he seemed to agree with a release bearing issue but after sitting and pumping the clutch a fair few times the noise seems to have disappeared.

- release bearing apparently gets stressed if you do not put it into neutral at lights and just sit with clutch in, and foot on brake;
I keep trying to change my behaviour there.

Could be contamination in the hydraulic fluid perhaps? Can sometimes cause things like this. I appreciate its a much older car but my E30 had bits in the clutch fluid and sometimes the pedal would get stuck down. I believe it has been resolved now it has new fluid.

e; Didn't notice the part about a noise, this wouldn't affect that... Hope you find the cause OP :)

Luckily enough I tend to enjoy neutral so it's in neutral as much as it can safely be.

But yes after looking into more and finding people with almost identical problems it's sounds like uneven wear on the TOB. Which kinda sucks really as it's such a tiny part and costs pennies but once in the box itd be silly not the replace clutch when it's on 80k, I know I could well just leave it as I could get a lot more out the clutch but knowing my luck I'd replace it and a week later a cylinder will go or something.

Now the real question is do I try my first time experience at clutch work or leave it the professionals?

Still baffled that the noise has gone tbh.
