Clutch Query

So...

Went on a track day on Sunday at Brands Hatch. Was having great fun until I tried to pull out of the garage for the third session when I suffered chronic clutch pedal failure. Yes that's right. The clutch was fine, the pedal broke!

Data data data, it's been fixed as well as having a new clutch switch.

So onto my query:

Does the ECU learn clutch technique? My first drive since having it replaced resulted in some peculiar revving habits. Basically, the ecu is holding the revs for too long. Either that or I change gear too fast! It's resulting in some *lumpy* gear changes to say the least. Should I expect it to pick up my technique over the next week or so or am I looking at a potentially unfixed issue here?

For those who can't see signatures, the car is an Audi S3 (MY2001).

Cheers!

I know of adaptive gearboxes that "learn your driving style" but an adaptive clutch is a new one on me!

hmmm sounds like the new clutch is maybe not disengaging properly (hence revs hanging) but mostly something disturbed under the bonnet making the revs hang

Sounds like the clutch position sensor needs to be reseated, they are often set in a row of subtle 'teeth' and can be moved up and down if required.
