Hi guys sorry if this has been asked before but im looking for a quick definitive answer as I am about to pull the trigger on the parts for my first build.

I have chosen my components but am unsure which of the cm 690 II cases I should go for.

What will the advanced flavour give me over the lite??

will the lite have the same cooling ability and also will I be able to put the side window panel on the lite (when ocuk gets more stock)??

Anything else I should consider??

thanks in advance guys :D

iirc, Lite doesn't have a hot-swap drive bay at top, nor does it have a VGA cooling fan.
Yes, side panels are the same for both cases as they share the same dimensions

EDIT: Seems front cooling is 120mm instead of 140mm and its missing RHS and LHS cooling (irrelevant when you put a side panel on).

Just bought the lite. Doesn't come with the external SATA dock, but does have an eSATA connector on top. The SSD adapter,VGA cooling holder, and top fan are not supplied. The front fan is 120 as opposed to 140mm.
You can add top, bottom, left, right ooling fans though. The manual also shows a that an HDD cage cooling can be added but doesn't explain how. In total there is space for 10 fans - 2 are provided. There is a plate covering an opening on the back of the case above the expansion slots, this can be removed presumably to add some form of cooling there as well.
The case is great, really well made - first case I haven't cut myself on. The only complaints I have are that the manual is poor - not really a problem, and that if you wanted two bottom fans you would have to remove the lower hd cage. There are two cages, the upper holds two drives, the lower four. I don't know if they can be swapped over if you want to add a second lower fan or add a radiator there.
It replaced an old Antec case and my 5850 temps have dropped by 10 to 15c running kombuster or playing crysis.
