CM 690ii

Hi All,

Not been on here for years, so go easy on me....

I've done a fair bit of searching on here but cannot for the life of me find an owners thread for the CM690 ii - I just picked one of these up second hand, having owned an original CM690 from new when they were first released !

My rig is

FX6350 (Did have an FX9590 but was running way too hot)

Samsung 850 EVO 120GB (For OS)
WD Raptor 1TB (for games)
NZXT Sentry 6 channel fan control
16GB Ripjaw DDR3
Win 1064 bit
Gigabyte GTX1060

I imagine since the case is now knocking on 7 years old, there aren't going to many still using them. Pretty sure there was an owners thread at some point but it may be so old it's in the archive.

I still use mine to house my server. (Old phenom 2 x4 955 with a 12 disk raid 5 array using a LSI SAS HBA and intel SAS expander)

It used to house my main watercooled pc up until 2013 when I upgraded to an enthoo primo as I wanted more radiator space.

I still use it and its a great case. I just fitted a rad at the bottom of the case, it was a huge headache and squeeze to get it in with modular cables. Something tells me my Corsair 850w non modular with of better with the cables coming out of the bottom side.

I will be doing a major upgrade this year - im sad to see the case go but I do need more room.

I had one for a few years - sold it as part of a system on here a while back. Was such a great case, so much room. I moved it on as I built a brand new rig about 4 years ago and wanted something a little more conservative looking, so got a Corsair 750D.

I actually put a window in my old CM690II and was very proud of it. I could have bought the official one but it was expensive and showed the whole internal area, not just the motherboard area which was what I wanted.

Miss the case now I think of it...
