Hello people of Overclockers, I have recently purchased a CM Hyper 212 Evo from another website but I have had a problem installing it or it is a faulty product.

First of all my pc specs,

i5 2500k
Asus p8p67-le
Nvidia 560ti
600 W psu
8gb Hyper genesis X Ram

My problem is when I have installed the Hyper 212+ cooler Correctly I have watched multiple tutorials and done exactly what they say and the instructions.

The problem is when I press my PC power up button I get nothing on the Monitor nothing at all No response from the start since I start my machine,
I have tryed multiple monitors,

All the components in my PC are working also and all the fans are spinning and the lights are on, first of all i thought my GPU was broken So I cleaned everything but it didnt work, I then installed my old CPU cooler back and my PC was working again So I installed my Hyper 212 back in. But I still had the same problem.
Does anybody know what im doing wrong or if it is a faulty cooler?
Because The place of order will charge me £10 + vat if the cooler isnt faulty when I send it back.

I would greatly appreciate your support

As for the actual issue.

Are you maybe over-tightening the cooler causing the board PCB to bend and affecting the socket pins.

Seems strange to me that you can fit one cooler and the PC works yet fit another and it doesn't.

You are placing the cooler fan cable into he CPU fan header correctly?

Yeah its in the exact same place as my other cooler so I dont think that is the problem as for it being to tight I am screwing the bolts all the way down could that maybe causing the issue? I was also thinking something about the backplate

The backplate should have a side with protective foam/plastic to stop any shorting on solder points.

The backplate shouldnt move.

At the most the cooler maybe able to "turn" a little bit as the CPU surface and cooler surface are smooth.

I tryed it again and got it to start but it has to be to loose all the bolts and screws can moce if u pull it a little i dont trust it in there the ammount of bsods and windows errors really anyoying, any last suggestions before iget a refund and go gor the freezer pro13

I doubt its cooler, can you take everything off, backplate included and check your not squashing any parts of the motherboard, have the stand offs got rubber washers anywhere. It really shouldnt be loose to work.

Yeah the blackplate has the green thing and the screws have a bit of rubber underneath them, I dont understand what the problem would be nothing appears on my screen could it be colliding with my GPU
