Has anyone tried putting 2 psu's into a stacker ?

I happen to have an original stacker I never used. Not sure if it has the pci card fitting issue but if the Akasa Mirage with a Seasonic M12 700w was not enough to run G80's in sli, it might be worth getting a 2nd Seasonic and putting both into my stacker.

Presumably one psu would power the mobo, cpu, memory, opticals and 1 g80. And could use the other psu to power the other g80, fans, and hardrives.

I've got one X1900XT, 2 drives, and my watercooling off the bottom one, everything else off the top one.

Very nice.

When I replace my 7950 with 2xG80's in sli I was thinking of buying a 2nd Seasonic 700w. Because they are both highly modular it would be pretty tidy cable wise I reckon in the stacker.

Did you have any problems getting them both working properly ? Did you have to work out how to split the load evenly as I know some psu's (antec's) expect a minimum load on each rail.

Just wondering if something like this would work for me :

PSU 1: cpu, motherboard, 2xopticals, 1st G80

PSU2 : 2nd G80, 2xHardrives, 3 or 4 fans

<edit>any problems getting the ati to fit as there is a lot of complaints on the CM forums about how people have to bend their pci cards and how narrow the slots on the back of the mobo are</edit>

thanks
