CM Storm QuickFire TK Mech Keyboard

Hi,

I'm in the market for a mechanical keyboard and have decided on one of these but really unsure of what type of switch to go for, I would like it to be as quiet as possible but with the advantages of a mechanical keyboard, its primary use is obviously gaming.

Any experience appreciated

My preferences are RED and BLACK. Red are soft button actuation with an audible click, great if you are wanting light keys. Blacks are heavier than red with no audible click. Great if you are touch typing and don't want the clicky noise.

I thought Cherry MX Red's we're silent without tactile feedback? Basically identical to the blacks but requiring less force to press?

Yes, you're right. It was the Blue I meant to put in there.

Exactly, all the information is conflicting, with so much choice and without being able to try for yourself its difficult to choose what to go for

I've read somewhere Blue is the best for gaming and thats why Razer use them, in the Sticky it says something along the lines of them not being the best choice
