Hi guys, I'm planning on buying the white CM Storm Scout II (HERE) for an upcoming build.

The case comes with 2 white LED 120mm fans mounted in the front and a single 120mm fan in the back. The front fan LEDs are controlled by the LED switch on the top.

I want to replace all the included fans with Corsair AF120s or SP120s, undecided as of yet. However, I want to add some BitFenix LED strips and I want them to be controlled by the LED on/off switch on the case. If I were to have 2 LED strips, would it be a simple swap out from the included LED fans to the LED strips?

How simple it'd be depends on the existing wiring. A led strip may draw more current than a led fan or two so you'll need to make sure that the switch is rated high enough for the strips.

Hi Ruaille,

The LED switch of the Shout II is a pass trough switch, this means there is no current running over this switch and it is only closing the circuit.

The switch and it's connectors is specially made to fit the Cooler Master fan's and its LED's, so to make this work you need to do some modifications yourself.
Of-course these modifications are at your own risk.
