As everyone is asking for seperate case pics I figured i'd jump on the band wagon as i'm curious to see what people have done with their Storm Scouts. I have one sitting in the DPD depot atm waiting for the snow to clear so I'm itching to see completed models!

Post your Storm Scouts ;)

Just after installing my 6870

Here is pic of my Scout now I have finally got my Fenrir Evo through. Most of the cables are in there permanent positions but I will need to sort out the PCI-E cables when I get my new grpahics card (currently in Citylink limbo). I may get ATX power extension lead to make a better job of the mobo power lead but it might not be worth it given the socket position.

The CPU socket is very close to the upper edge of the board, so the Evo was a nightmare to get on. I could barely tighten the top two nuts, which might explain the 6 degree difference in core temperature between 1+2 and 3+4.

I also noticed my CPU temp was a few degrees lower under load when I left the plastic protective wrap over the outside of the window so it blocked the side vents. I guess the airflow under my desk isn't that great without fans fitted on the side panel.

Interesting you've mounted your cooler in the opposite direction as myself (same cooler same case)

Unlikely to make much different but pity we dont have similar spec machines to compare..

I want that OcUK to go with my CustomPC one!
Where can I obtain one?

Also, really hate the side panel on these, destroys the look of the case imho.

I saw yours before I built mine and I had intended to put the Evo in the same way (instructions show it facing up too) but due to the position of the socket I couldn't reach the top screws if i did :(.

Have you considered modding the side panel by replacing the window with a solid sheet. It is something I am toying with. You can buy the side panel direct from CM for about 20 euros but I don't know how much shipping is from the Netherlands. It may be worth asking them if you could buy the solid panel, if that is what you would rather have.
