Hey guys. I have been looking for a new case and i am thinking of CM Storm Trooper. Here is a link http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-240-CM&groupid=2362&catid=2231

A friend of mine has this case and he said that its an extremely silent case, you dont even notice that the computer is powered on. Any1 else has this case? I am also planning on buying an r9 290 for my build and i thought if i buy this case too it will reduce the noise of the card. I am just looking for a very very very silent case, with good cooling and cable management. Any recommendations are welcome!

Edit- I dont mind if its full tower or mid tower, i just need a silent case with good looks. CM storm trooper seems to have these

I have no first hand experience with the case but it certainly won't be the best for silence with all those vents.

Not saying its not a quiet case just there are far more suitable cases if silence is what you're after (bitfenix ghost, fractal r3, coolermaster silencio etc)

I have a CM Stormtrooper, infact im about to get rid of mine too lol, anyhow yeah its a great case, it has built in fan control so you can run the fans completely silent.

It has 3 levels, lowest is total silence, 2nd lvl is a slight humm in the background (case is next to me) 3rd lvl is quite loud, also you can turn the LEDs on and off. It has a ton of room, great cable tidying capacity and plenty of options for cooling etc. Plus it looks fantastic, the handle is great (although it does weight a ton!) and the little secret tray thing is a nice idea, i keep spare screws etc in mine.

Im only getting rid as im swapping to a Phantek Enthoo Primo as i am going to go with a custom waterloop, although yesterday i wasnt, today i am :)

Yeah i noticed those features they are really nice! I am looking for something silent to stick an r9 290 inside coz i am a noise freak ;p, i will keep in mind the coolermaster silencio.

How about cm storm trooper with sound dampening kit?
