Hi got a silver praetorian (old style) and my tunic tower is 0.5cm to high and i cant shut my side panel

has anyone got any ideas on how i can mod my side panel so it will fit

my panel is the one with a window

i was thinking of screwing the the window section and making it looser but having trouble finding the right tools to loosen it :(

thanks

You just need the correct size allen key to undo those screws...

if I was you I would try and find some suitable sized "C" shaped aluminium profile and use that to fix between the window and the side panel giving you that extra bit of clearance, there are also some guides about on how to create the brushed aluminium effect yourself so it will blend in nicely. You made also have to buy some new, longer, hex-head screws so you can refit the window..

Hope you understand what I mean..

wow thats one huge heat sink!

The screws that hold the window in place are hex screws and you will need an allen key to remove them, maybe you could use some washers so it will stand off a bit?

thats exactly what i had in mind

remove the window section then but a layer around the edges like sealant or something soft and bouncy they hopefully that will give me the 0.5cm i need

yeah the washers came to my mind first too, but then you would have gaps inbetween where the screws are, something solid like aluminium bar would be ideal...

you could just try and lay your hands on some 5mm aluminium plate...or if on a budget some 5-6mm MDF would do painted silver or covered with silver sticky plastic...

Of course it would be nicer if doing it this way to cut the strips to the outside meausrement of the plexi, so you get a nice clean edge.

i get what you mean with the aluminium bar

but would 4 separate bars be better or should i try and get it as a single frame

and what is the estimated cost of this whole thing i'm looking to spend around £30

if i get the measurements i should be able to walking into a metal shop and they will supply the sheet and do the cutting fairly cheaply?
