CM840 Black £30> silver?

Hi,

I REALLY like the 840, and even though £200 is really pushing the case budget, I would stretch to it for a black Coolermaster 840, BUT the black is £240 (too damn much) and the silver is a (just about achievable) £210.

Why is the black more expensive? Is it just because its more in demand and they feel they can squeeze us for more £££, or is there a more valid reason?

Probably because they have to paint it, putting the cost on the consumer for wanting it black?

Because the black one is rarer it would seem and more in demand. Nothing to do with paint. They paint the silver one I'm sure. It doesn't look like exposed aluminum

I did worry the black would scratch easily but my cats have been on and off my case and not one mark, apart from some dusty paw prints.

I am in awe of this case - it stands (during initial testing) on my desk like the big black behemoth that it is - the only thing any animals or people can do in its presence is bow down and prey to the lord of Tek.

I love this case man - if it was any bigger I would have had to get council permission to erect it!

Im tempted to go for a HAF instead of this case now, because of the pricing

They reduced the cost of the silver version, after the black one sold out. Now the black one's back in stock they havent reduced that to the same price as silver.

Might just wait another month see if the price budges.
