Many hours were lost on this game, just loaded it up for the first time in years, the memories have come flooding back, i'm going to be inter milan,

what were the best tactics to use for this version?

I used to go with 4 defs 3 mid (narrow mid) 1 AM 2 strikers with direct style.

God, I lost countless hours playing that game. It was my first champ man game. The amount of disallowed goals I used to get though.... :mad:

My first experiences of nerd rage also came from this game

Edit: look at the attacking players Inter had at their disposal back then!

Can't remember whether it applied to that version or earlier ones, but it is worth giving 0-5-5 a go. In the versions where it worked it was brilliant.

I think I hammered this edition also. Seem to remember shevechenco and deco being absolute monsters.

Remember printing a screenshot to prove shev scored over 50 goals in one season for my buddies at school.

Would be great to have this recreated on IOS. Same teams, same mechanics could be a decent time sink

4-4-2 attacking > 5-3-2 > 3-1-3-2-1 (or whatever tactic Barcelona used) > 4-4-2 attacking

Only football manager type game I have ever played on the PC. I just couldn't get into any of the others that came after.

I play it through dos box on my android tablet. Game is available as a free (legal) download. There is a 15/16 data update for it floating about as well.

Runs a little slow (processing results) on a Z3 Compact, although probably about the speed it used to run when it came out!

Ran a SNES emu on my Samsung Galaxy a few years ago to replay Shadowrun but I'm on iOS now.

Think I did some scouting and emulation discussion is not strictly permitted here so not sure if anyone can assist on some pointers.

No desire for updated squads either, all about those old time legends. Zindane, Cannavaro, Totti, Rivaldo, Bergkamp, Davids

Think it was around that era when they still showed Italian football on channel 4 which is why I always seemed to play Serie A.
