CMD.exe on startup

Hi,

When I boot or restart my PC it shows the desktop for about 1 second then goes black and loads up a CMD.exe

If I run explorer.exe it shows the desktop but I need to do that everytime I restart the computer.

Does anyone have any ideas what is causing this? I ran both Avast and Malwarebytes and it said the computer was fine.

Check the registry at:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

See what is contained within the "Shell" REG_SZ.

Should be explorer.exe.
