Anyone with issues using CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 4 x 8 sticks? I have a Gigabyte Gaming 5 and since adding an extra 16 Gigs my Pc Blue screens and crashes all the time. I'm using the latest F9a bios and only when i disable the XMP profile in the bios which worked fine with the first 16 gigs my computer runs stable. Since reading up on this i believe 4 dimms occupied will never get the max 3200? So i pull out 2 sticks or can i manually set the memory in the bios to reach a decent speed than the 2333 atm? Thanks for any information.
 
Hello Oasis, I will see if we have a kit here to test for you and get back to you ASAP. I am currently at EGX but will make sure to get this looked into by the guys in our HQ too.
 
I have the lastest AMD chipset drivers version 17:30 from there site.

ah, ryzen chip set with 4 sticks - i managed 32GB with 2 sticks in K5 , the LPX 3000hz wasnt actually down on the memory support list before AMD 1.0.0.5 micro update but I got lucky with it and ran 2933hz

what CPU are you running ?

amd 1.0.0.7 code update might bring about some help for really large RAM amounts with 4 sticks- fingers crossed
 
I have a 1700 my own fault I didn't look into this coming from Intel Ryzen is such a temperamental beast so in hindsight 2 X 16 gigs may have worked better. I'm not willing to sell my current ram so hoping something happens down the road to fix this.

Still no go with F8 bios for me as soon as i enable XMP Profile 1 everything goes south faster than the birds in winter. Maybe my Hynix version is an issue but i appreciate the time to help.

might be worth entering manually - could just be XMP being an issue - i know at first with ryzen that had to be done even when ram chips said they were compatible

also check to see if XMP enables the correct voltage but to be sure enter that in manually and see SOC voltage to 1.2v then decrease afterwards

That's 2 of 4 all identical timings and versions minus serial numbers obviously and i have got a newer set of AMD chip-set drivers now. And also back to F9a bios.

Very similar setup to mine mate. Same 4x8GB Corsair 3200 RAM (same Hynix chips), although i have the standard AB350 Gaming ATX.

With the last 3 BIOS, i've netted the same result - a maximum of 2800MHZ ram speed. Still not that bad for 32GB.

To get that, i set the 4 main timings manually and set the Dimm voltage to 1.4v. I also increased the VSOC to ~1.1v (+0.1v offset i believe?). Didnt do anything else. Hope that helps.
 
Managed to get a result with my RAM with F9a bios and now F10 someone said enable XMP profile and manually set timings and set TRC to 57 worked like a treat for me 100% stable bar 2 dodgy shutdowns when the computer restarted instead this for 2 months now. If it helps anyone.
 
I had a similar issue with gSkill trident Z ram. It seems the XMP profile on the RAM isn't correctly read by the AMD boards ( mine is the asus rog crosshair )

Looks like i've also self resolved this one. When loading the "standard " OC profile in bios which detects the rated ram speeds it only puts the correct values for the following settings ( tCL, tRCD, tRP, tRAS)

However to prevent boot failure i then needed to change the following value from the default "auto"

tRC > Auto > 56
tRRD_S > Auto > 6
tRDD_L >Auto > 8
tRFC >Auto > 560
tRFC2 >Auto > 416
tRFC4 >Auto > 256
tFAW >Auto > 37

Hopefully this will help someone else achieve rated RAM speeds. The above listed values i was able to pull from the RAM information section within the BIOS
