Hi everyone - I'm attempting to toubleshoot a problem on my Dads PC and I am wondering if anyone can help. It's a A64 3200 on a DFI NF4 Lanparty Ultra with 1GB OCZ VX RAM and a 480w Tagan PSU. First sign of a problem was when powered up the other day the BIOS settings had been reset and a Checksum error appeared. I reset the BIOS but that didn't help as after every reboot the BIOS reset itself (cleared CMOS effect). I've replaced the CR2032 BIOS battery and manually cleared the CMOS (several times) but nothing has solved the problem. Any ideas or has the mobo died on me?

Try reflashing the BIOS. That usually works when this happens on Abit motherboards. It may not be directly comparable, but it's the only experience I have (un)fortunately.

I got the same problem with a Gigabyte Mobo...

Pc is originally a Packard Bell, Updated the BIOS to FE through FD ( Cos the FE one would not go over the packard bell one. but its still there!

If anyone can help us both then... We are all ears.
