Hey guys,

Built my new PC in December - It booted up fine other than having a checksum error which forced me to re-set the cmos everytime i wanted to bootup.

One day I went into the bios and it said "Save to CMOS" so I did that and it worked:)

However I recently bought a few coolers (Tuniq Tower 120, 2HD Coolers and an exaust) and when I booted for the first time I had the same problem.

Would anyone know how to fix this?

My PC specs:

Abit AB9 Pro,
C2D 6400,
7900GS nVidia
2GB Ultra low latency Geil RAM,
Hyper PSU
160GB HD
80GB HD

Thanks for any help/advice :)

CMOS batterys you can get from any electrical store or any where you can get watch batterys, (I got one from sainburys).. make sure you get the right one though. As for the bios check out the manufacturers website for your mobo there should be details on how to flash it there. And will ether involve a windows based flash program or a floppy/bootdisk.
