CMOS reset issue

I have had my desktop for just over a year now and when I powered it up this morning it wouldn't boot up. There was no beep and nothing displayed on the monitor even though all the fans were spinning and everything appeared to be powered.
After re-seating all components apart from the CPU I then reset the CMOS and then on power up I received the initial boot up screen saying 'Press F1 to set up bios or press F2 to load defaults' The problem is, neither a usb or PS/2 keyboard will work on this screen so I am unable to proceed.
I have never come across anything like this so I have no idea what to do or what could be the issue, so any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
