Anyone know of a detailed program which will give out specifics such as MOBO number and memory type?

There is a sticky on the main Windows & Other Software forum....
Look here and find the section of programs under "System Information and Monitoring..." :)

I've used AIDA32, CPU-Z, Everest and some of the others before. CPU-Z or WCPUID should give you the mobo and RAM info.
