CMS any ideas?

Hey all,

I'm about to embark on creating a few web sites, they will be including CMS i have been using portalapp up until now but the licence fee is killing me does anyone know a good cheaper alternative?

No problem mate. For others who might be confused just expand the demo menu on the left as desired to browse through different systems and the rest is pretty self explanatory

Joomla or drupal. I use joomla but have heard drupal is good too.

I'm currently using www.mkportal.it

Not the most proffesional, but it's free and easily the most user friendly portal/cms I've ever used.

Using SimpleCMS aswell here. Haven't tried a lot of them so there might be some better solutions out there

On a side note i hate CMS. Customers always find creative ways of messing things up even with the simplest CMS systems.

I recommend ExpressionEngine. It's very good if you want to get away from that "modules bolted on around the main content" design most CMS sites have. Unfortunatly the advanced version isn't free but quite affordable.
