CNC 3 will not load.

I played a game of CNC 3 this morning fine and its been working flawlessly for months but when I tried to play again just now the game doesn't load, the CNC3 process shows in task manager but nothing happens however long I leave it!

I thought as I had a bit of an uptime that might cause it so I rebooted but it still doesn't load, Lost planet loads fine however so it must be CNC 3.

Does anyone know a fix for this or am I going to have to reinstall the game?

doh , gotta love them patches , Im in the same boat with you but with Hitman Blood money cant get it to load at all.

Reinstalled and it has worked! Just a waste of my time to reinstall it though :/

I've got the same problem (though I haven't updated to 1.6 yet - still on 1.5).

It's rather annoying but blah..I guess reinstalling won't kill me (too much).

Perhaps just deleting user data would sort it..hmm..

1.6 completely screwed mine, running X64 XP whenever i start 'er up it displays the small Windows splash screen then pops up with a "CNC3.exe has encountered and error and needs to close" and i can't go any further.

Tried re-installing. Works fine until it patches to 1.6 when it screws up. Tried removing data folders etc aswell before reinstalling but still messed up...had a quick Google around but gave up in the end.

Anyone got any ideas?!

When I reinstall I left my user data in my documents, and I presume the stuff in application data was left too, either way I didnt delete it. Once it had been reinstalled it worked fine, and I patched it to 1.6 again.

I patched mine and its fine. Initial loading times are very long.

Wouldn't work beyond patch 1.05 for me and I gave up in the end. EA suck for customer support :mad:

did any of you have Xfire running at the time, as mine refuses to boot with Xfire going.....that program sucks EVEN MORE than EA's customer support
