So I had to figure out a way to mount a Photon 170 res/pump combo in my Corsair 750D case,
My dad gave me a hand with it, since I am terrible at this kind of thing,
and we came up with a design for a mounting plate which we then roughly fabricated from a sheet of 12mm PVC (most rigid offcut of material he had to hand at the time).
It works great, it lifts the resevoir clear of the cable management gromets and saved me drilling new holes in the motherboard tray,
he owns a CNC mill over in Fareham which he mostly uses for cutting designs into boat decking,
next time he is over there he is willing to give it a go cutting one out of aluminium for me on the mill.
He asked me if I thought there was a potential market for CNC cut aftermarket parts for PC cases (like pump brackets and such),
to which I honestly had no idea really.
So I put the question to you guys, do you think there is a potential market for high quality CNC cut custom/bespoke case/watercooling parts?
Or do you think they would be a bit too niche to turn a reasonable profit on?
