My wife has just e-mailed me asking if there are any split screen or co-op games out or coming out we can play.

Can't get on co-optimus at the minute so anyone know any ones to look at on the PS4 that are out, or are confirmed to have co-op when released in the future?

It CAN be online co-op, as I will buy a 2nd PS4 if need be as I did that with the PS3 for some games.

We enjoyed playing Dead Island, Red Alert 3, COD Zombies, Dead Nation, RE5 (crap game, but enjoyed playing with her) and some others on PS3. (mostly zombie themed it seems....)

-I Don't count sports games, or Lego games or racing games as none of them interest her

im pretty sure rayman legends is up to four player co-op. correct me if im wrong though... its also a brilliant game in its own rights anyways :p

Yeah Dead Nation timing is handy. We are going to have a drink and play that on Friday night. We did play it on PS3 but it was years ago now plus it has different modes so can play those isntead.

I'll enquire as to whether Rayman is something she would try. Wasn't aware it was co-op.

She isn't into a large variety of games and mostly plays survival horror or real time strategy games.
She is a big resident evil fan (not so much with the latest ones though) and enjoys Starcraft, Age of Empires, C&D etc.

I see Dying Light is split screen or online co-op so that should be a good one for us to play. I'll just have another character to play it with mates

Same with Diablo 3. I'll just create 2 so I can play it with her and friends.

Well we sat down to play Dead Nation all night on Friday and only lasted 20 minutes. We enjoyed it on PS3 a couple of years ago but I guess it has zero replayability as we were both barely paying any attention.

She suggested RE5 co-op, which was enough for me to turn the games off and put some music on! lol

I might stick that on rental then saying as multiple people are recommending it. I'm not sure it'll be her thing though she's not that into bright, colourful games.
But it looks like something I'd enjoy so even if she doesn't like it I can play it.

I did buy it for the Vita but it was at a time when I was not using the device anymore and only tried it for 15 minutes and just sold the Vita on as I didn't have time to game anymore outside of the home.

My wife has been watching me play it this weekend on PS3. Big grin on her face the whole time. The game is adorable and a good challenge if you want to unlock everything. Totally bonkers too!

Well even if she just enjoys me playing it then that's something then. I'm not trying to get her into gaming any more than she is as I know she hasn't the time for it and will likely just stick with RTS games on PC as it's mostly all she likes to play.

So i'll just have a blast through it and it should at leats be something she doesn't have to leave the room for. Like BF4...as I'm either chatting to mates during it or if not, then having loads of gun sounds going off isn't the most fun thing to hear in the background.

It does look pretty crazy. I'm not really a fan of platform games but I don't dislike them either so Im more than happy to play a good one - and by all accounts this seems to be up there with the best from what I've seen/heard.

My wife is a total non-gamer and hates it when I play Battlefield, which, to be fair, isn't a very good spectator game, especially when you don't really know what you're looking at.

The Rayman games from Ubisoft Montpellier are always top notch. Like you I'm not usually a big platform gamer but a good game is a good game. Legends is great fun aswell.

Yeah battlefield isn't one to watch someone play if your not that interested in general in that specific game.

I'll deff have to give it a try then as like you say, a good game is a good game - it's the same way I feel about music. If it's good, it's good it doesn't matter what the genre is to me.
I have my preferences of course but that's it.

I don't think she'd play Awesomenauts but I can maybe get her to try it. She doesn't like competative games though as she's not into games enough to get really into them enoguh to play online properly.
Like she loves RTS games but likes to take about 90 minutes to do a mission. lol
