Does anyone know if such a converter exists? Basically the coax aerial socket on the back of a TV i have has become damaged (it moves!). Is there an inexpensive way to connect the coax aerial lead to one of the hdmi ports on the TV, allowing me to use the inbuilt freeview?
Any help/advice appreciated.

Predictive text changed hdmi to Hamilton, lol.
If a mod could change it that would be great.

A coax-to-HDMI convertor isn't a thing.

As @Donnie Fisher said, if you aren't going to get the aerial socket resoldered then you'll need a Freeview receiver box (a DVB-T2 tuner) to decode the transmission signals delivered via the coax cable. The output of these boxes is via HDMI. You'll have to use the remote for the tuner for channel changing. Your telly remote will do the volume control.

IMO it would be simpler to get the aerial socket fixed.
