Hi,
I have an AV amp which needs connecting to pc as a source and surround sound speakers.
I want to use optical digital connections cos thats all there is avaliable on the amp.
I want to use on board sound on a nforce2 motheboard (A7N8X-E deluxe) which i've heard can encode digital in real-time unless im mistaken.
Unfortunately it only has a coaxial digital out, so my questions are
Ive seen a coaxial to optical convertor for £13 are they worth it?? since the signal is digital , i dont suppose there will be much problems??
The HDA explosion sound card is heft at £60ish inc, I think i need that one cos it has a digital real-time encoding again.
Is there anyone an expert here?
