Ah, that stretch of the M25 (Between M23 & M4) has been needing one of these for ages! I make the trip from Brighton up to Oxford almost weekly and there's absolutely nothing between the A23 Pease Pottage and M40 Beaconsfield.

They've started putting the speed restrictions in place, down to 50mph, although I'd doubt anyone would notice considering the average speed around those parts are a lot less. :p

Hah woops, link fixed.

I was in this yesterday however it didn't seem to go on for that long?

You've never had issues passing through the M3 junctions? Although I always seem to go through Monday morning / Friday evening rush hours I usually end up crawling along for a good hour...

There wasn't any works going on there yesterday? However the M25 usually slows down at the M3 and A3 junctions at any time of day!

Another chance for MSA operators to fleece motorists.....

Personally, I don't see the need for a new MSA, and if the charges are anything like Clacket Lane (£30 is to park an HGV overnight in an unsecure truck park!) I won't be using it!

They do more than fleece. I went best Hartshead Moor last night and they wanted £1.47/litre for derv  I was pondering that price and couldn't decide if their overheads are very high and make a small profit on that. Or, they are just rucking people.

Good news. Always handy if you have kids and they want to stop for the loo and a packed lunch on a journey. It really needed one along that stretch.

I'd rather leave the motorway & find somewhere to eat that'll charge a reasonable rate, and provide food that tastes half decent.

Each to his own. :)

Surely you would expense that kind of thing anyway so more the merrier for you?

True enough, I do, thing is, I'm paid every two weeks, and I have to pay parking etc out of my own pocket & claim it back, it soon adds up to quite an outlay, as I say, for no security, a car park that reeks or wee (and worse!) and disgusting food.

If I have a heavy month of bills etc, it can leave quite a hole in your finances.....

Packed lunch I said!

Good point - I missed that minor detail... :o :D

I have to do similar for my expenses at work - however, I've got a credit card which I use purely for work expenses. Anything I pay out goes on the credit card, and then a month later when the bill drops in - I've had the money back to pay the card off.

Now this is what I should do, alas, an ex of mine did a great job of shafting my credit rating so thats not an option. Bitch! (her, not you! :D)

I run up often into serious 4 digits every month in expenses when on field based projects (hotels and meals every night for weeks, plus mileage).

Amex platinum cashback is what you need  Spend, receive money back, pay bill. You never need be out of pocket.

Nice to see another services on the M25 as its a long way to Clacket Lane sometimes on the way home. At least there wont be a extortionately priced Burger King like most motorway places have! McDonalds don't overcharge at their motorway stores ;)
