Cod 2 Vista x64 problem

Here i go again with yet another vista problem
Basically before, on XP, if i clicked on cod 2 multiplayer it would load the game in say 5 seconds, straight to main menu.
In vista, it tells me that the game did not shut down correctly everytime i load it up, and then takes about a minute to load
Anyone else have this problem and can suggest a fix for it?

try running as an admin, sorts out most vista problems for me lol

Nope still no luck...really annoying me now, takes sooo long to load in

Right click and run in XP compatability mode?

I find that this is because of a network adapter. Try disabling your adapters in network connections and see if that sorts the problems. Of course, it doesnt help when you want to play online mind.
