I'm stuck at the same point as mentioned above in the factory. My mate blows up the first tank, but I can't get near the tank I need to blow up without getting slaughtered.

How do I do this?

Just go to the guy u followed whois kneeling down. Watch out for the top left corner where endless germans keep spawning, throw a smoke grenade to be safe. There are also 3 snipers in the tallest house/building in the area too!

I haven't got passed this yet, but I did find that you can get 6 smoke grenades from the room with the bazooka in! Just grab one and 10 seconds later another will appear. Now its just a case of being able to get back round the factory and use all 6 grenades to create some cover so hopefully I can get to the tank!

Edit: Done that blasted level it at last! God that was very tough, tougher than I remember any of COD2 being. I swore I would never put myself through a Veteran campaign again after COD2, I am not sure this is good for my health :eek:

Just starting level 8 and am not looking forward to it :eek:

Getting up to the bit where u have cross a main road is easy tbh. It's just the very last part with a mortar. My heart sunk the first time i died there and had to do 10 minutes of play again

Still haven't done it, guna leave it a bit as its annoying the crud outta me :|

This game isn't saving my checkpoints, anyone have any idea's as to why it wouldn't be doing so?

You have to watch the same cutscene (level depending) everytime you load the game, maybe thats whats confusing you? Have you let the cutscene end to see if you're still at the checkpoint? If so, just sounds like its ******

No, I was consistently being put back a lot of checkpoints. After I completed level 3 it's been fine. Think it was just a bug on level 2/3.

Yeah how annoying is this?! Each time I load the game up I go and put the kettle on as I know I have to kill a few minutes!!

Arrghh!! Yeah, I agree this is the hardest part of the game yet. I played it on normal level first so I knew what was expected and then went to Veteran and I can't even get to the sodding mortar, let alone try and destroy the blockade

The first night I was trying it I could get across the road, through the woods and into the bunker all ok and it was just a case of me clearing the bunker without dying. However now each night that I try again it appears to get harder and harder!! I cross the road, get into the trench and then make my way to two rocks on the left under the cover of smoke. I then can never seem to make it to the bunker. It really is depressing me if this is the easy bit and the mortar bit is the hard bit :eek:
