COD 4 Crashes

Hi i'm running vista 32 on my system & my COD 4 keeps on crashing, I've got the latest patch but it was still crashing before 1.7.

I used to get this crash also i think it was something to do with Mods however it just seemed to go away

I don't run any mods.

its a corrupt punkbuster install i do believe. - pbcl.dll = punkbusterclient.dll

Delete punkbuster and reinstall, or get a mate to send you their punkbuster folder.

after uninstalling, download pbsetup from the website and also download the punkbuster system check from evenbalance to check all punkbuster connections.

Thanks eggnoodle for your advice i've uninstalled & reinstalled clicked on update's everything looks okay this point when i run COD4 it still CTD with in seconds.
I can't find punkbuster system check.

Have you also tried updating punkbuster for all your other games as well, could be a conflict issue?

Thanks for the link, Tests completed successfully without error.
All other games are up to date, COD4 still CTD.

thanks for your help eggnoodle it's working fine for now, i think a restart helped.
