Cod 4 graphics question

I have everything on Max at 1920x1200 and it just doesnt seem right. On a mates pc and on the ps3, the guns actually seem to shine etc but on mine they appear flat and dull.

Is there anyway to tweak the graphics settings a la crysis or is that completely not doable?

I had no issues, but hard to see what you are seeing.

I played it at 1920x1440 and every setting up MAX, are you sure you have no missed a setting or used one of crappy settings to get an effect (cant remember them all TBH).

And in the Nvidia Driver setting, you will be on QUALITY by default, set to HIGH QUALITY.

make sure specular mapping is on, inthe gfx setting within cod4, that makes everything a whole lot shinyer

This may be a driver issue. I updated my drivers and UT3 looked a whole lot better, the guns looked totally different and shiny

Right well I've done all of the above and its still looking pretty much the same. Perhaps its just me expecting too much lol
