Myu System:
Asus P5b-Deluxe-WiFiAP
Core 2 Duo e6400
BFG 8800 GT OC
2GB Ram
7MB/384kbps DSL Broadband, connected by 100MB Ethernet

Latest drivers for my GFX card and COD4. Latest BIOS for Mobo, latest Windows Updates

Windows firewall on and off, router firewall is off

Whenever i try to play COD4 multiplayer it is basically a slide show. And this is only with the multiplayer, the single player plays like a dream with everything on high. This happens as soon as i start up cod4MP, the splash screen is jittery. The game itself once connected to a server is very very jittery

I know it isnt my broadband line, i have monitored in and outbound traffic and cannot seeing it hogging the line, its quite minimal infact.

I have tried to get mty ISP to turn off interleaving on my line, with no effect i am afraid.

Anyone got any ideas? I feel so left out and uncool ;)

I had plnety of problems with punkbuster and MP. It would often just NOT populate the server lists, or lag really badly, sometimes fixed by a reboot.
In hte end i uninstall pb, reinstalled, updated it and things have been fine since.

Worth a try mate.

reinstall cod4 tbh.

Yeah, thats the lazy way out!! Come on man, there has to be an actual reason for this, no? Thats like my last resort

I had that happen sometimes when starting CoD4 after an UE3 game, after a reboot it used to be fine... Haven't had the problem on a fresh install either any more.

Also, do you use any plugins? Fraps/xfire? Try disabling those...

did u say u were running at max resolution on MP ! if so thats a bad IDEA you will want to run it at 1024 by 768 for example to get good fps otherwise gameplay could be bad I run mine at that resolution with details etc etc on lowish settings so as to allow better online game play I get 50 ms or lower on UK servers "I'am up north BTW"
PS .... oh I have a very high end PC I would only put my resolution up If I was to play on sp, If some People do play at higher resolution's NP from me , its your choice :-)

my nickname is siege2 BTW online say Hi OC if u see me, PS I'am buying duty 5 this Friday :-)

@UltimateBadger: Yeah, sorry! DOH!

My issue even is on the start up screen, where you select to Join a Server etc, the clouds moving in the background are even stuttery!!

I have tried to turn down all my settings too.

I guess i am destined to just stay with BF2142!!
