COD 4 not running well...

On my 8800GT, to get the game to run at 1920x1200 @ 60 FPS, i had to turn off AA and also the Smooth Smoke Edges option. Its now ridiculously smooth ;) So try disabling them and see how it goes.
 
Reading all of this is kinda worrying me, as I am upgrading my computer at the moment to an Athlon X2 3600+ (2.00GHz, 512kb cache, socket 939), 2GB DDR Ram and a Radeon HD 3850 256MB and from the results people are having with 8800's I'm kinda led to believe that it's not gonna run very well on this system spec. I plan on running at 1280x1024 as thats my native desktop resolution, would the game run well on my system at this res on high settings?
