CoD 4 Punkbuster question

Well got cod4 yesterday played allot of single player decided give it a shot in multilayer but then when i joined the server it kicked me in about 5 seconds saying something wrong with the punkbuster. so i go in options and punkbuster is ticked to yes and punkbuster downloads are ticked on yes anyone know how t o fix that problem ?

You could try downloading the punkbuster updater.

thanks for posting that link i had the exact same problem with bf2142, which put me off getting cod4. Took me ages to find that pb updater but i lost the link since then, now i can get cod4

got the same problem as me update it manually it should work fine after that.

not just me who gets 'punkbusted' then

its the only anti-cheat program iv ever had trouble with... AND I DONT CHEAT!!!

In CoD4 pb_sv_update entered into the console will also manually update PB.

i had same prob too, knew there was updater was jus browsin knowing sum1 else would have problem and itd be linked

You would thinkk there would be an option in one of menus to click that updates punkbuster, since it causes so much chew for so many.

Ah now the other problem, the G7 freezing and locking up mid game, sometimes coming back on sometimes not. And did this happen since i updated graphics drivers or not. joy.
