Cod 4 surround sound.

Just got myself a surround sound (5.1) setup and it works ace for everything accept cod 4.

For some reason the side channels are WAY too loud I can't even hear my weapon firing.

I can't see what would cause it, and now I'm starting to think maby it's meant too sound like this :/

what happens when you set to optimum system settings

Seems ok now, I fiddled with the sound settings from stereo back and forth and it works ok now.
