Cod 4 - What patches do I need

Only got this the other day, and I am loving It

I am having no issues with the game at the minute. Do I need to patch all the way up to 1.7? The activision site only offers up to 1.5. Differing views depending where you read.

I don`t want to patch and break the game.

Singleplayer only atm. I need to hone my skills before venturing on-line.

I think I remember reading here 1.6 has all the previous patches included but I'm not 100% sure. Best wait for a definite answer or download all the patches.

I just used 1.6 and 1.7 work ok, except for a few times on servers ping shows as 999
