I dont agree with the slower paced aspect of CoD2. The original was so much slower as the maps were better and less cramped, and you were granted with less grenades.
I guess for me CoD2 doesnt match to same standards because CoD1 was just so amazing at the time of release. It had everything that made it original; a good single player campaign and awsome multi-player side with top class net-coding that as a result made it very rewarding when you get that 500m rifle shot.
CoD 2 on the other hand (multiplayer side) has very small maps and you are granted too many grenades, whether it is smoke or just standard ones. Shotguns are totally useless and unbalanced. The health system is what really lets the game down though. I mean if you get you should stay hit, not magically re-heal yourself. That feature is for magical/fantasy games. The game is a very nice graphical improvement, but most that played CoD 1 were dissapointed with all the hype that went into CoD2. From a new players point of view, CoD 2 probabily has the same impact that CoD 1 had on me and others, and that is why they will think CoD 1 sucks.
