COD:AW only using 2 of 3 way sli 980's

Im using max performance in nvidia control panel but just cant get the game to run on all the graphics cards as the 3rd card is just idle . I thought maybe its using the 3rd card for physx but even changing Physx to Dedicated CPU (5960x @4.5ghz)

I also only get a max of 75% out of the 2 cards that are running and this is using 2560x1440 native and 4K DSR . getting about 120fps and more with 1440p on max settings and 50-70 fps with 4k DSR , fluctuates a lot on DSR 4k .

why is this , all my other games use all 3 cards and at near 100% .

Not sure, but COW:AW has in-game Supersampling, so you shouldn't need to use DSR anyway should you?

Pc port wasn't the best on a single gpu never mind 3.

I never had an issue with AW. PC options were quite good really and it ran fine even when I just had a 290x.

At what resolution though ?

I ran it at native res of 2560x1440 and still cant get 100% out of the cards (60% at most) and only using 2 out of the 3 cards , 3rd card is near completely idle either on full max performance of 1127mhz or none max performance of 135mhz, max i seen it go without max performance setting on is 405mhz ..

At the time it was 1080p with 4x SSAA (so on-par with 4k)

I haven't tried it recently but I've gone over to a Haswell-E system with a 295x2 + 290x and run a native 4k screen now.

I don't think 3 way is supported yet, i remember seeing someone's graph can't remember who and he didn't get any fps boosts from 2 way to 3 way.

Tell a lie, I already had my 295x2 card at the time but it was on my old 4770k system, before I went over to the 5930k.

Anyway, without a crossfire profile and on one GPU it was running at just shy of 60fps. I think they released a patch and obviously there were driver updates after this improving support for multi-gpu's so I would imagine it would be pretty good now

but why not even 70% usage on first 2 cards ? it just refuses to use any more than 70% .

3 way doesn't work on AW. I run 3 Titans and it lowers performance over 2. Not the first game to do it either (looking at you WatchDogs).
